5. Course Attendance, Conduct, and Completion
5.1 Attendance Requirements
Learners must attend 100% of the course duration and successfully complete all required assessments, practical elements, and learning outcomes to be eligible for certification in line with awarding body requirements.
Late arrivals may be refused entry if learning outcomes cannot be achieved.
5.2 Conduct
Learners must behave professionally and respectfully at all times.
We reserve the right to remove any delegate displaying inappropriate, unsafe, or disruptive behaviour without refund.
5.3 Fitness to Train
Learners must ensure they are medically fit to participate in all required elements of the training, including any practical or physical activities forming part of the qualification. Learners must inform the trainer, prior to or at the start of the course, of any injury, medical condition, pregnancy, or limitation that could affect safe participation.
Some regulated or awarding-body qualifications require learners to physically demonstrate specific skills for assessment. These activities must be personally performed and witnessed by the trainer for successful completion. Examples may include:
-
Performing continuous CPR for a minimum assessed duration (e.g., 2 minutes)
-
Casualty handling or movement techniques
-
Use of resuscitation or emergency equipment
-
Participation in practical scenarios or simulations
Where a learner is unable to complete mandatory practical assessments, certification cannot be issued unless the awarding body permits an approved reasonable adjustment or alternative assessment method.
PulsePoint Training Solutions Ltd will make reasonable adjustments where appropriate and permitted by the awarding body and equality legislation; however, adjustments cannot compromise required learning outcomes, assessment criteria, or safety standards.
Failure to disclose a condition preventing safe participation may result in removal from practical activities or the course, managed under Clause 5.4.
5.4 Illness or Early Departure During a Course
If a learner becomes unwell or cannot continue:
-
Certification cannot be issued unless all required hours and assessments are completed.
-
PulsePoint may, at its reasonable discretion, offer:
-
Transfer to a future course, or
-
Re-attendance for missed elements,
subject to availability and medical evidence where requested.
-
-
Without evidence, absence may be treated as non-attendance and the full fee forfeited.
-
Illness transfers are normally free of charge where evidence is provided.
-
Re-attendance should occur within 3 months, unless agreed otherwise.
